Firstly, thank you for reading my profile. I hope you will find here all you need to help you make your decision regarding the most appropriate counsellor for your needs, but feel free to contact me if you need any clarity or further information.

Many issues and circumstances drive people seek the help of a counsellor/therapist. By reading this you are taking the first step in deciding to address a problem or concern that seems too difficult be confronted alone.

I believe it’s essential to find a counsellor whom you can trust, feel comfortable and are willing to share openly. The close relationship we develop really is the foundation and building block of all the work we do together.

I have years of experience, working with various clients on various issues such as the examples below, but please remember this is not an exhaustive list, it just provides an indication of the range of issues for which clients seek counsellors:-

Relationship Problems

Loss and Bereavement

Domestic Abuse

It is important to acknowledge that this is certainly not a comprehensive list and indeed you may not always know what exactly is wrong.

I offer a safe, accepting and calm place to discuss your concerns. Through our conversations together you will uncover your true thoughts and beliefs, and we will seek clarity on choices and your options and therefore more able to make life decisions. It is important to remember that you must make your own life choices, and I will encourage and support you to do this. I was trained and practice as an integrative counsellor, which is in effect an individually tailored approach to your particular needs. I certainly am not-judgemental and strongly believe that you have the ability to move forward at your own pace, from a place of increased insight and self-knowledge.

My background is based in Social Care working with children and families. In addition I have worked in two Primary Care Trusts and a Domestic Abuse Organisation, as well as a Leeds based children’s charity. I have a degree in Sociology/Social Policy and a Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling (University of Leeds). Also I have various post qualification training certificates (in line with BACP Continued Professional Development).I also currently work for a Leeds based mental health charity.

I currently work with adults and older adolescents.

I am a fully insured, registered and accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I also hold and advanced DBS

Finding the right counsellor may take time, so I offer an initial session for free – to discuss how I work, and to answer any questions before you begin counselling.

Future session is £40 each.

Please feel free to contact me, below are my contact details.
